What is freedom worth to you?

Aah, freedom. What a wonderful word that is.

But what does freedom really mean to you? What is your time worth?

Are you sick and tired of sitting in traffic jams for hours on end among snarly motorists who are also sick and tired of the same old, same old?

Or are you stuck in the corporate world, working long hours for a grumpy boss you can’t stand because it’s expected of you?

You get home tired and grumpy. You hardly see, let alone speak to, your spouse, and your children have forgotten what you look like.

That happened to a colleague of mine. He left for work before his children woke up in the mornings, and he got home long after they went to sleep at night.

No matter what negative naysayers will tell you, that is not the way life was meant to be lived.

One day my colleague finally said, “Enough! There has to be something better than this.” And, of course, there is.

He wanted to spend time with his family, as is his right, not spend every hour that God sent, working for a boss who couldn’t care less about him. A month later he was able to tell his boss to take a running jump.

He now has a leisurely breakfast with his wife and kids, and drives his kids to school. Then he and his wife go shopping, have lunch out, and sit there feeling sorry for all the poor suckers still working for “the man.”He is present in his children’s lives because he made the decision to do something about his situation.

Now he has his time back, his family back.

His life back.

He lives his life the way it was meant to be lived. On purpose.

You can, too.

When you make the decision to do something about your situation, I’ll see you there.

Ah to be happy, rich, and free. Actually being happy and free with enough money to put a roof over your head and food in your stomach is good enough for me. Although there are other incidentals like taxes, but let's not go there :-)

Hi Jean, I'm glad I found you on TWRP. I did the same as your colleague and left work after 16 years because I wanted to write more than anything.
